About Alcohol Rehab Cost Resource

Alcohol Rehab Cost Resource is an independent, source-based guide to understanding the cost components of alcohol treatment and the coverage questions that commonly arise. We explain what factors influence treatment costs and how to ask the right questions of providers and insurers—without offering universal price estimates, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.

What this site does

This resource focuses on two practical areas: the components that make up treatment costs and the coverage questions you may need to ask before starting care. We draw on publicly available guidance from U.S. federal agencies—the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Health Insurance Marketplace (HealthCare.gov)—and we link directly to those primary sources so you can verify the information yourself.

Our cost components page explains how providers and programs typically structure charges, based on NIAAA’s description. Our coverage questions page outlines what to ask about insurance benefits, again using federal guidance. The budget worksheet is a private, browser-only tool that helps you organize your own assumptions about costs and coverage; it does not submit data anywhere and does not provide estimates or recommendations.

What this site does not do

We do not publish universal or flat price estimates for alcohol treatment. As NIAAA states, the cost of treatment “can vary widely and depends on the provider, the setting, the services offered, and the individual’s needs.” We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or advise on withdrawal or self-detox. We do not claim that any particular clinic, insurance plan, or payment method will be available to you, and we do not provide legal or clinical approval of any provider.

We also do not collect personal health information. The budget worksheet is an interactive browser worksheet that runs entirely in your browser; it does not send data to any server, and we do not ask for your name, contact details, or insurance information.

Our sources and how we use them

All factual claims on this site are tied to the primary sources listed on our sources page. For example:

We retrieved these pages on October 27, 2026, and we note the edition or last-updated date where available. If a source changes, we will update our pages accordingly. We do not rely on secondary summaries or paid content.

Publisher and independence

This site is published by NovCog (NovelCognition), with principal Guerin Green. NovCog is an independent publisher; we have no commercial sponsors, and we do not accept payment from treatment providers, insurers, or other organizations to influence our content. The NIAAA Alcohol Treatment Navigator, which we cite, similarly states that it has no commercial sponsors.

Our role is to explain and link to authoritative federal guidance, not to act as a treatment provider, insurer, or referral service. We do not list or endorse specific clinics, and we do not have a network of providers.
