Contact Alcohol Rehab Cost Resource
This site is published by NovCog (NovelCognition) as an independent, source-based resource explaining the cost components of alcohol treatment and common coverage questions. We are not a treatment provider, clinic, or insurance company, and we do not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
Publisher contact
For questions about this website, its content, or corrections, contact the publisher:
Guerin Green, Principal

This address is for publisher correspondence about the site itself. We cannot answer questions about a specific treatment program, your insurance plan, your eligibility for coverage, or what a particular provider charges. Those questions should go to your insurer, a treatment provider, or the public agencies listed on our sources page.
What we can help with
We maintain independent, sourced explanations of the factors that influence treatment costs and the coverage questions people commonly ask. If you have feedback on those pages, or if you spot a broken link or an error in how we describe a source, please let us know.
- Cost components — how providers, settings, and services shape what treatment can cost.
- Coverage questions — what to ask your insurer and what public programs may cover.
- Budget worksheet — a private, browser-only tool for organizing your own assumptions.
Before you contact us
Because we are not a provider or insurer, the fastest path to answers is usually through the original sources we cite:
- NIAAA Alcohol Treatment Navigator — includes a section on costs and insurance and notes that "the most expensive option isn't always the best."
- SAMHSA: How to Pay for Treatment — explains that many programs accept Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare, VA Health Care, or private insurance, and that free and low-cost options exist.
- HealthCare.gov: Mental health & substance abuse coverage — describes Marketplace plan requirements for behavioral health benefits and parity protections.
If you need help finding treatment, SAMHSA's treatment locator and the NIAAA Navigator are public, no-cost starting points. We do not refer to specific clinics or providers.

Reporting a problem
If you find a factual error, a broken link to one of our cited sources, or a page that misrepresents what a source says, email Guerin@novcog.com with the page URL and the issue. We treat corrections seriously and will update the page and note the change on our sources page.
We do not collect or store personal health information through this site. The budget worksheet on the budget worksheet page runs entirely in your browser; nothing you enter is submitted or transmitted.
